ISS International School (Singapore) is in need of a part-time IB Diploma (grades 11 and 12) French teacher starting August 2010. This is a part-time and local hire position that is approximately 1/3 a contract, teaching IB Diploma French B SL/HL1 and SL/HL2 (grades 11 and 12) (French as a second language) leading to the IB Diploma exams at the end of grade 12. While IB Diploma experience is desired, we would also consider a talented French teacher with equivalent experience to fill the position.

Message from the Anglo-Chinese (Independent) School:
We have a requirement for a part-time French teacher to teach the French ab initio course (beginner's level) of the IB diploma program. We need a teacher with immediate effect. Could you forward my mail to relevant candidates of your acquaintance at the earliest? The details of the requirement are as follows:
1. The candidate will be required to teach two classes: one of year 5 (first year students) who begin lessons mid-February; the other of year 6 (final year students) whose classes are already in session (therefore the urgency!).
2. The candidate will be required to teach a total of 6 hours per week (3 hours for each class).
3. The candidate will be provided all assistance regarding curriculum requirements, textbook, etc, but it is preferable that the candidate have some experience or basic familiarity with the IB program.

Recruiting some French teachers to assist us in telemarketing some of our events in French. This is a part-time temporary position and we pay S$7 per hour plus a 5% commission of revenue received. Our events are usually marketed in the region of USD2,500 per delegate. The working hours would normally be from 5.00 pm till 10.00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

1st Youth Olympic Games - SINGAPORE 2010 (www.singapore2010.sg)
is looking for a TRANSLATOR (English – French)
The role involves the translation of Olympic materials from English into French for internal and external publication, such as the content published on the Singapore2010 website. Additionally, the translator would be responsible for ensuring consistent terminology is used across Singapore2010 by developing a terminology glossary and proofreading all translated text in French, reviewing where necessary the usage of conflicting terms.
The right candidate should have excellent spoken and written skills in both English and French, preferably with a translation certification and experience of carrying out high quality translation projects.
An additional language would be a strong advantage.

French Teacher required commencing January 2010
The Canadian International School (Singapore) is seeking a French teacher to start January 11, 2010.
